Hermione Granger;;
the real you;;
hello, my name is Skye, but you can call me just call me skye i guess. i have been roleplaying for one year. i was referred to this website by you advertised on my site. i think i will complete this application by one week from now. i also roleplay no one else on this site. if the administrator needs to contact me, she or he can contact me through email, PM.
lets introduce myself;;
my name is Hermione Granger. i am in seventh year at hogwarts and in Gryffindor. i have blown out seventeen candles, and will blow out more on November fourth. i have medium long, light brown hair and light brown eyes, but most people recognize me by a scar on my cheek that I got from the Whomping Willow. i have many memories, but the one i will remember most is when I got my Hogwarts letter..
travel into my mind;;
everyone should know that i like Defense Against the Dark Arts, Charms, Transfiguration, watching Quidditch, Hogwarts, my family, making friends, hanging out with friends, Ron Weasley, and singing and that i dislike History of Magic, Divination, Professor Trelawny, Alison Snape, Matthew Snape, most Slytherins, people who call me 'mudblood', Potions, people who use me for my knowledge, and teachers who give out too much work. i'm pretty good at transfiguration, charms, mostly all subjects, but i really stink at potions and history of magic. my hobbies include hanging out with friends, singing, dancing, swimming, skiing, learning new spells. i know i shouldn't be telling you this, but i have a secret: I have a crush on Ron Weasley. you can always find me studying, or lounging in the common room, but forget about that. someday, you will find me saving Hogwarts. if i were to tell the world about my personality, my speech would go like this:
I think I am pretty smart. Many of my teachers tell me that I am the brightest witch of my age. I excel in almost all of my classes and almost always ace all of my tests, not to brag. My fellow students often ask me for help on tough assignments, and most of the time, I give it. However, I am more likely to help my close friends, though. I always like to get my work out of the way, so that I don’t have to worry about it later; in short, I have very good study habits. The sorting hat actually asked me if I wanted to be in Ravenclaw, but I chose Gryffindor instead.
I, Hermione Granger, am also very brave. I dream of saving Hogwarts school from the turmoil that will soon take it. I always stand up for my friends and what I believe in. I don’t let people push me around. I would never let anyone down. Also, once I set my mind to something, I fight until I get it. I am a very determined person. I never give up on things that I want.
I am also a sort of shy girl. I’m a bit quiet around people that I don’t know. I do make friends, though. Once I get to know someone, I am a very open person. I’m not one to keep secrets; there’s not much about me that you wouldn’t know. However, I can be outgoing when I want to. I am very confident around people and am not afraid to talk. I am a very collaborative and I work well with others. .
i have a family you know;;
everyone has a family, and i am one of them. i am the child of Merilee Granger and Martin Granger. they have pretty decent jobs. my mother is a dentist and my father is a dentist, also. i have no siblings. if i were to do a report on myself, it would go something like this:
Hermione Granger was born on November fourth to Merilee and Martin Granger. Her parents were both muggles, and had the occupation of dentist. She does not have any siblings, so Hermione grew up spending much time with her parents. From the time she was little, her parents got her very interested in education and signed her up for lots of enrichment. Hermione became a very intelligent little girl and was soon interested in the material she needed to learn without her parents or teachers to push her to do so. When she went to lower elementary school, she did very well and learned quickly. Every teacher she had ever had was amazed at her curiosity and thirst for knowledge.
Hermione continued to display this behavior and work in school. However, when she was about nine years old, she started to have strange symptoms. It was almost as if she could do magic, but no one believed that. Hermione was somehow able to levitate and move tiny flowers and when she was ever upset or angry, strange things would happen. For instance, when a young muggle friend of hers accidentally got bubble gum all over her hair, Hermione was very upset. She sat down and cried for a good ten minutes, but when she looked at her hair again in the mirror, the gum was gone and her hair was as it was before the gum had gotten stuck in it.
Hermione’s parents were amazed at the capabilities of their daughter, but it wasn’t doing any harm to her, so they left it alone and kept it pretty much a secret. However, when Hermione was ten years old, a few months before her eleventh birthday, a letter came. They knew it wasn’t a mistake because it was addressed to Hermione’s exact bedroom. It was a letter inviting Hermione to go to a school that taught magic, Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry, supposedly the best school for magic in the world. Hermione was delighted, however, her parents wondered if it was maybe a hoax, but they agreed to try it out. They wrote to Albus Dumbledore and asked where such supplies as a cauldron and robes were to be bought. They next day, a representative from the school, Professor Minerva McGonagall, arrived at the Granger residence and took them to Diagon Alley to get Hermione’s supplies.
When Hermione boarded the Hogwarts Express, she was amazed. Everyone was wizard born and all the food on the trolley was different from anything she had ever tasted. She met a few people and asked around about the Hogwarts houses, though she had read up in the remaining time before school started after she got her supplies all about Hogwarts and its history. Overall, she thought she most wanted to be in Gryffindor, then Ravenclaw, then Hufflepuff, and then Slytherin. She made a few friends, although many people got annoyed by her constantly reciting all that she’d learned. Even the pure-blooded students didn’t know as much as her. When she arrived at Hogwarts, the first years had to take boats across a lake to a great castle. That was Hogwarts. When they got inside, they were ushered into a small side room by Professor McGonagall and were told the wait there while the rest of the school arrived in the Great Hall. Hermione knew what was coming next: the sorting ceremony. She was a bit nervous, but she dealt with it by turning to all of her neighbors and babbling on about all the spells she’d learnt and which one she might use in sorting. Hermione had figured it was some sort of test. However, when she got into the Great Hall, she soon found out that she just had to put on a hat that could read her thoughts and it would sort her.
When she put on the hat, it told her that she was a very intelligent girl, probably the brightest witch of her age. Hermione was flattered. But, the sorting hat also told her that she was brave at heart and that she would be a strong person when she grew up. The sorting hat told her that she had a choice. Either she gets sorted into Ravenclaw, or Gryffindor. Hermione immediately picked Gryffindor. It was her favorite house and she just had a good feeling about it. When she took the hat off, she saw the whole of the Gryffindor table cheering and sat down at the table.
Throughout her years at Hogwarts, Hermione has been through a lot. In her first year, she got attacked by a troll, and her once enemy, now best friend, Ronald Weasley saved her from it. Ever since then, the two have been best friends. Hermione made many friends from all houses during her time at Hogwarts and has never regretted coming to the school. She doesn’t know how she would possibly live without magic and is very glad and thankful that she was chosen to be a witch.

FROM ANOTHER SITE
Andromeda looked around. The Great Hall was filled with students, all older than her. All around her were the other first years, anxious and waiting to be sorted by the Sorting Hat. She was scared. What am I going to have to do to be sorted? she thought, nervously. She had heard rumors about this ceremony, that there was a test given to you in your ear that only you can hear and how many questions you get right determined what house you were sorted into. She shivered.
She would be one of the first people to be sorted. Soon enough, Professor McGonagall walked up to the front of the room and unrolled a long piece of parchment. That must be the list... Andromeda thought. The first few people got sorted. Two Gryffindors and a Hufflepuff.
"Andromeda Black!" Professor McGonagall called, sternly.
Andromeda weaved her way through the long line of sudents waiting to be sorted. and made her way to the stool. Professor McGonagall held the large black hat above the seat. She slowly climbed onto the chair and the black hat fell over her head.
Everything was black. She wondered in confusion what she was supposed to do next. Suddenly, a voice sounded in her ear.
"Well hello there, Miss Black!" said the Sorting Hat.
Andromeda almost jumped.
"Oh, yes it's me, the Sorting Hat! I know exactly what you're thinking."
Where am I going to be sorted? she wondered.
"Right, back to that matter." the Sorting Hat said, as if a reply to her thoughts. "You are quite an intelligent, curious child, very unlike your ancestors and the rest of your family...." it murmured.
Andromeda smiled at the compliment. She considered it a compliment to be quite different from her family.
"Well, do you have any preferences, young miss?"
Ummm... she started to reply, but was cut off by
"I know where I'll put you, RAVENCLAW!" The last word, Ravenclaw was shouted out to the whole room. She slowly got up from the stool and looked at the tables. She quickly saw where the Ravenclaw table was and quickly walked there to sit down. She glanced at her older sisters at the Slytherin table. They were whispering rapidly to eachother, and she knew it was about her, but she was actually quite happy she had been sorted into a different house... she was just meant to be different.
